The First Hour: Diablo III: Eternal Collection
Picking up twenty years after the events of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Diablo III finds a new group of adventurers traveling to the town of New Tristram in pursuit of a falling star. What they find leads to revelations about the origins of Sanctuary and the Eternal Conflict that wages between Demons and Angels, with humanity caught in the middle and unlikely heroes ascending to be their champions.
This is the most recent console version of Diablo III, an all-time PC bestseller with a storied development history and a divisive reputation among fans. The Eternal Collection gathers all of the currently released content—the base game, its expansion Reaper of Souls, the Rise of the Necromancer addon, and innumerable smaller patches and additions—into a slick package that is as enjoyable to play at home with your friends or strangers on the internet as it is by yourself on the bus to work. Andrew (@playcritically) and Ginny (@ginnywoes) both think of it as the definitive version of Diablo III, and you can watch the first hour in the embedded video below.
