The latest installment in the Choice Provisions’ genre-spanning Bit.Trip series, Runner3 gives players control of CommanderVideo and CommandgirlVideo (or one of a host of unlockable characters) as they run, jump, and slide through 2.5-D environments in time to an electronic music piece. Rendered in lush polygons instead of previous entries’ pixel style, Runner3 is a visual delight even though Andrew (@playcritically) and Ginny (@ginnywoes) both reported actions being out of sync with the soundtrack, which is the whole point of a rhythm-platformer. You can watch the first hour of gameplay in the video below and judge for yourself.
