Another title from the brilliantly named The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, Tumblestone is a weird combination of the Match Three genre, Tetris, and Bust-A-Move. Players try to clear a path through a space by matching differently colored blocks—the titular tumblestones—into groups of threes, causing them to disappear. The puzzle is solved when the entire field is cleared, but blocks must be selected in a specific order to accomplish this. With a world map reminiscent of Super Mario Bros. 3 and a globe-trotting cast of characters, there’s more happening here than just a staid selection of puzzles. You can watch Andrew (@playcritically) ponder his way through the first hour below.
